Outside my hotel window, Ginza gleams like a jewel of steel and glass. Train cars rush across the cityscape. Down in the street below, a biker rubs his hands and breathes on them before zipping up his jacket and setting off.
My window feels like a TV, showing scenes from the future.
Tokyo is an hour ahead of Manila. Sometimes, it feels like decades.
